Blog Birthday Casual and Tights -- Bay Area Fashion

Here is the outfit that I chose to wear while going around the Bay Area in search to find unique styles and bold pieces. I later layered myself with a moss colored military style jacket and a white Steve Madden knit scarf.

Brands I'm wearing -- Hat: Forever21 -- Shirt: Billabong -- Skirt: Forever21 -- Tights: Forever21 -- Denim Shirt: Thrift -- Boot: Hot Topic

Lately I've been living in tight :)

Look #3

Emily -- San Francisco, California

Sorry that I haven't blogged in a week!!! I have been traveling all over the Bay Area such as Berkeley, San Francisco, Vallejo and San Jose and saw so many beautiful outfits along the way.  Sadly, I was traveling mostly at night and didn't get good quality photos. But here is a cute, casual look that is perfect for school or running errands. The oversized turtleneck was from Nordstroms, the bold, colorful skirt was from Forever2,1 and her shoes, which was her first time wearing, were given to her from a friend.

Introducing Bay Area Fashion

Look #1 -- Patrick -- Union City, California --
Hollister, Creative Recreation & shirt made by Patrick
Look #2 -- Natalie -- Belmont, California --

When you hear of the Bay Area, do you ever think of fashion?

The Bay Area is a fast, growing melting pot filled with diversity, culture and creativity.  No matter what city I am in (in the Bay Area), I find inspiration.  Through that inspiration,  I was compelled to create a three month focus specifically on Bay Area Fashion.  During the next couple months, I plan on exploring different cities, photographing brilliantly dressed strangers and familiar faces and displaying their attire to inspire.  It is the individuals choice on whether to name the brands that he or she is wearing and explain their style and inspiration.  If the brand name is not mentioned underneath the photograph, I will put a link located towards the end of every blog on where you can purchase a similar item that is affordable.  Feel free to leave any questions, comments or ideas!!!

Get the similar look by shopping at:

A New Year & My 1st DIY

My complete New Year's Eve outfit

NYE Make-Up: Almay: Liquid black liner -- Clinque: Purple eyeshadow (palette) -- Lipgloss: E.L.F. (fantasy) -- Bronzer: Clinque -- Loose Mineral Powder: Bare Escentuals

Here's was the final piece to my outfit. Fringed shirt that is sheer on the top :)

DIY

So my grandmother was going to get rid of this shirt until I stopped her :)  I saved this shirt because I loved the collar and the cut.  I can dress it up or dress it down.
Here is the before...

Here is the after!!!
I cut about 12 inches off the sleeve, hemmed the cut off sleeve and turned them into a cuff.

And there you go! My New Year's was oh so relaxing.  Went out to hear my dad d.j. had some drinks, went on a cake hunt with my mom....mission failed lol and then I rang in the New Year at home and received my New Year's kiss via skype from my love.  I'm off to an amazing start!!! New job which is a jump start into my career :D new gigs, new music, new wardrobe, new class schedule and a new attitude! Hopefully you had a wonderful and safe New Year and I wish nothing for the best for you! Have a lovely day!!!
