Stripes on Stripes

For Mother's Day I decided to keep it casual with the stripes. 

 Pants: Thrifted -- Top: Forever21 -- Shoes: ASOS -- Sweater: Forever21 -- Glasses: H&M

Decided to pair my horizontal stripes with my vertical striped pants that I plucked out while thrifting.  My recommendation on pairing similar patterns together is to make sure to stick with the same color palette (I prefer neutrals) and when it comes to stripes, pair thicker stripes with smaller stripes to break up an outfit. Lastly, add a pop of (solid) color to break up the stripes/dots/pattern and wahlah! You got yourself a fun little outfit without going above and beyond.
