The Sexy Skort
You would think it being summer, I should dress in bright colors or at least pastels....no, not this girl. I can never seem to give up my black and white. Place me in a section of clothes and I guarantee you will discover me browsing in the black, white maybe even gray section.
Now on with the outfit...when I hear of skorts, I think of tennis or elementary school. So I played around in my wardrobe and created the sexy skort :) Black shorts underneath a sheer skirt...got to improvised.

Ombre Denim Final Look
To create this ombre look, it's super simple!
Here are the steps I took...I literally improvised...
You need: Bleach, a big bowl of hot water & somewhere to air dry
1. Make a section of where you would like to bleach
2. Pour bleach onto the area that you selected
(I ended up splashing bleach vs. spraying to get a different effect and to make it look more drastic)
3. Put the bleached section in the hot water and rinse out the bleach
4. Ring out your denim and let it air dry overnight
5. WAHLAHHHH!!!! You should see the drastic effect in the morning, finish the last step by washing your pieces in the washer (BY ITSELF) then dry it in the dryer.
ps: peep out my new white summer shoes :) in loveeeeee

Mix & Match in the Rain
Good afternoon beauties!
Excuse the horrible lighting and the not so great photos...I had a mini photo-shoot in the rain this morning :) This post is in regards to Saturday's post on recycling pieces and getting creative. Here are a few different looks with the same skirts...yes skirts. If you look at the photo above, the skirt to the right which is a body hugging (Papaya) skirt is under the pleated skirt to the left (Thrifted). The reason for layering up the skirts is because the skirt to the left is sheer and has no lining, so instead of adding the lining, I decided to improvise while being able to play around with the different lengths underneath. I think every other week I'm going to post different looks around one item, so let me know what item you want to see next for next week :)

Hair/Head Jewelry
(I do not own the photos above)
Nicole Richie has impeccable style and I absolutely adore the head pieces that she has been wearing lately (she looks amazing in everything!!!). I think this look is perfect for the summer time and works well with any type of hair! Instead of purchasing head/hair jewelry at any store, I recommend to create your own one of a kind piece by using any unwanted/old necklaces, belts, beads etc. Here is a simple DIY by blogger All the good girls go to heaven. I plan on creating one of these bad boys over the weekend, so check back soon to see my little creation :)

A New Year & My 1st DIY
My complete New Year's Eve outfit
NYE Make-Up: Almay: Liquid black liner -- Clinque: Purple eyeshadow (palette) -- Lipgloss: E.L.F. (fantasy) -- Bronzer: Clinque -- Loose Mineral Powder: Bare Escentuals
Here's was the final piece to my outfit. Fringed shirt that is sheer on the top :)
DIY
So my grandmother was going to get rid of this shirt until I stopped her :) I saved this shirt because I loved the collar and the cut. I can dress it up or dress it down.
Here is the before...
Here is the after!!!
I cut about 12 inches off the sleeve, hemmed the cut off sleeve and turned them into a cuff.
And there you go! My New Year's was oh so relaxing. Went out to hear my dad d.j. had some drinks, went on a cake hunt with my mom....mission failed lol and then I rang in the New Year at home and received my New Year's kiss via skype from my love. I'm off to an amazing start!!! New job which is a jump start into my career :D new gigs, new music, new wardrobe, new class schedule and a new attitude! Hopefully you had a wonderful and safe New Year and I wish nothing for the best for you! Have a lovely day!!!
xoxo
