It's good to be back home

My spring colors -- Browns, Salmon, Orange and Yellows.

What a gorgeous day in San Jose, it's good to be back...
even though I fly out to L.A. at the crack of dawn on Friday :/  Since I will be in L.A. until Sunday, I wanted to publish another post that would be back to back since I will not be blogging towards the end of the week. So look out tomorrow morning at 5 am....yes 5 am for post of what I will be packing and wearing in L.A.  Aside from that, school is almost over which means more time to blog, more time to focus on music and more time to connect with other and work!!!! Hopefully everyone is surviving finals and is having a warm beautiful day!

Spring Haul

You know that saying, "Work hard, play harder"....well I sure have been playing harder...in the stores :P Call me an addict, I just love my clothes and deserved a little retail therapy. The reason for this shopping celebration....I haven't even graduated yet and I just landed a great job that will become my career in the field that I am pursuing in!!!! So, I have to dress the role and on top of that, summer is around the corner...great excuse to go shopping right!?!?!  The one downer that I am terribly experiencing is not having enough space for all my new purchases which means....SPRING CLEANING!!!! It is very hard to part with amazing pieces because each piece of clothing has a memory to it whether we like it or not.  I told myself that if I am going to go on a shopping spree, that means I need to go on a cleaning spree and since I am moving back to good ole San Jose, I plan on selling some clothes online at the top of my blog.  If I am going to give my clothes away, I want to give it to someone who will actually take care of it and enjoy it.  Prices will be affordable so stay tuned for the opening of RIO's CLOSET hopefully in a couple of weeks :)  Have a beautiful sunny day!!!

Good evening lovely readers!!!
I wanted to share a few visuals of my simple spring outfits that I wear to school or around the house (My "non-simple" creative outfits will be posted up by the beginning of next week)
Majority of the pieces that I am wearing are either from a local boutique, or a local thrift store...I'm not a mall girl at all...and if I do go in the mall I usually get my basics from Forever21 or H&M and get some quality pieces at Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters and so on.

My top clothing item at the moment are...SWEATERS!!!
Even though the sun has been good to the Bay Area, the wind is a bit nippy and I think fun patterns or chunky sweaters with a whole lot of color are perfect for the bipolar weather until it warms up :) But....I'm done rambling, I hope that you all have a beautiful and bright Easter and be back for more posts!!!!

Pants and Jeans For Ladies With Long Legs

 Pants: Ann Taylor Top: H&M

 Light Blue Jeans: WeSC
 Cargo Pants: Gap
Black Jeans: Gap

Good afternoon lovely readers!
I'm so excited that I get to take sometime out of my chaotic schedule to post another blog! As you can tell, pants are the focal point.  Being 5'9" and having super long legs, it is EXTREMELY difficult to find jeans/pants etc. that fit my shape and that are long enough for my legs. Whenever I do find a pair that fit me (rare), I buy them right then and there, no questions asked.  So to make it easier for my long legged ladies out there, I listed a few great brands that I love and that hopefully work for you! Feel free to share other brands that have variety and provide long inseams to the beautiful tall women!

For all the above (style, fit, length, color) go with 1. BDG Urban Outfitters - My favorite brand for AMAZING jeans!!! I love the denim, the colors, the fit the LENGTH and the variety they have to offer.

For classic denim go with 2. Gap  - Both their pants and jeans have an awesome fit and length.

For stretchy denim go with 3. Levi's -  Great fit for my curvy girls with height (I'm wearing my pair right now, super comfortable) They also came out with the curve i.d....I still have yet to try on a pair, but when I do, I will definitely do a review and see what they have to offer.

For colors and length go with 4. WeSC - This is my first time purchasing this brand and when I tried on a pair I fell in love.  The denim is great quality and they had some super cute colors.  I received so many compliments on my light baby blue jeans.
